Additional Drivers

(General Rental Information)
Reservations apply solely to the chosen vehicle category. A specific make and model is not guaranteed unless stated otherwise. The renter confirms acceptance of the Terms & Conditions upon completing the booking.

After Hours Returns

(Delivery and Collection)
Deliveries and collections are available at the local rental station subject to a fee. This service is available on request for an additional commitment fee outside opening hours at selected locations. The renter is obliged to report the vehicle back to York at the end of the rental period.

Coverages

(Roadside Protection)
Roadside protection is an extended breakdown protection during the rental. It covers high service and repair costs for incidents caused by the renter, such as: Key locked in the vehicle Breakdown caused by lack of fuel Assistance with starting due to a flat battery Loss of key Vehicle stuck
(Protection Conditions)
-Third Party Insurance (TI)
Coverage includes Third Party Liability with a maximum cover of 1 Million AED for material damages.
Maximum cover for personal injuries is unlimited per injured person.
Exclusions:
Transport of dangerous goods.
Unauthorized driver use.
Driver without a valid license at the time of the incident.
Off-road or race track driving.
-Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
CDW (including theft protection) reduces the driver's responsibility for vehicle damage or theft.
Liability amounts if CDW is accepted:
3,000.00 AED (MCAR, MDAR, ECAR, EDAR, EFAR, CBAR, CCAR, CDAR, CFAR, CFBR, SDAR).
5,000.00 AED (CLAR, ICAR, ILAR).
7,000.00 AED (CCCC, CPAR, IDAR, IFAR, IVAR, ISAR, SCAR, SFAR, SFBR, SGAR, SLAR, SQAR, SSAR, SVAR, SXAR, FCAR, FDAR, FFAR, JFAR, LCAR, PCAR, PDAR, PFAR, PQAR, RFAR).

If CDW is not accepted, the customer is liable for the full value of the car.
-Renters Liability Insurance (including Theft Protection) with ZERO Excess
If accepted, customers have zero excess in the event of an accident.
Not offered on XCAR, XSAR, and XTAX car groups.
-Interior Protection
Reduces liability for damage or soiling of the vehicle interior to a predetermined deductible or eliminates it.
Personal Accident Protection (PAP)
Coverage includes AED 200,000.00 per person.
Includes liability waiver for Covid-19 related vehicle sanitation charges and free collection due to Covid-19 disease.
-Tire and Windscreen Coverage
Provides protection for damages on tires, windscreen, side windows, and rear window with a deductible of AED 500.
Without coverage, the renter is liable for the full amount of the damage.

Cross-border Restrictions

Cross Border Rentals are not allowed
In case of an offence against Cross Border & Territorial Restrictions, all protections lose their validity.

Financial Policy

(Accessories)
Accessories are bookable without obligation and subject to availability.
(One-Way Rentals)
Within York locations in the United Arab Emirates: Allowed under conditions depending on the tariff.
International One-Way Rentals: Not allowed.
In the case of unannounced and unauthorized one-way rentals, an additional fee may be charged.
Navigation System
Navigation systems are available subject to a fee.
Additional Driver
A charge is levied for the additional driver.
The additional driver's details are noted in the lease only if they present a valid driver's license.
Baby and Child Seats
Baby seats, child seats, and booster seats are available subject to a fee.

23 years: License held for 1 year (CCCC, FCAR, FDAR, FSAR, GFAR, IFAR, ILAR, ISAR, LCAR, LDAR, LDAV, LPAR, LSAR, LTAR, PCAR, PDAR, PFAR, PFBR, PQAR, PTAR, PXBR, RFAR, SGAR, SLAR, SQAR, SSAR, STAR, XPAR).
25 years: License held for 1 year (FVAR, LDAC, LFAN, LFAR, LFAX, SDAC, XDAR, XDAV, XFAN, XFAR, XJAR, XLAR).
27 years: License held for 5 years (XCAR, XFAX, XJAN, XSAR, XTAR, XTAX, XXAR, XXAX).
Young Driver Surcharge: Applies for drivers under 25 years.
Drivers under 25 years are not permitted to accept any Collision Damage Waiver with minimum excess options.
Other Fees and Taxes
Premium Location Fee: Applies for rentals at airports and train stations.
Out of Opening Hours: Additional charge applies for services outside opening hours at selected stations.
Vehicle License Fee: Applies.
Road Tax (Salik): Toll fee applies in Dubai. Each time a vehicle passes a Salik toll station, a fee is charged. Moving or removing the Salik tag is not allowed and incurs a penalty charge.
Loss of Key: Fee applies for lost or damaged keys or key-ring/key-fob.
Smell-Removal-Fee: Applies if additional cleaning is required due to smoking.
Sanitation Fee: Special sanitation fee and collection fee apply in the event of a Covid-19 case if Personal Accident Protection was declined (Sanitation Fee = 500 AED).
Vehicle Cleaning: Charge applies if special cleaning is required after returning the vehicle
Changing Booking
Prepaid bookings can be changed up to 48 hours before the rental start (subject to availability) for a booking modification fee of 105.00 AED.
No refunds for changes leading to a lesser rental cost.
Cancellation
Bookings can be canceled before the rental begins.
A cancellation charge will be withheld, equal to the rental charge (including extras and charges) for a maximum of 3 rental days.
Cancellations can be made online or in writing.
No-Show
If the vehicle is not collected at the agreed time, the rental charge already paid will be withheld in full.

Cash Payment: Not accepted.
Accepted Credit Cards: Visa / Mastercard. American Express, Diners Club, Eurocard, prepaid cards, and debit cards (Visa Electron) are not accepted.

Special Rental Information for Prepaid Rates
Prepaid Tariff - Pay Now:
Payment is charged along with the total rental price (including extras and charges) prior to the rental.
The driver and mode of payment are finalized at the time of reservation and cannot be changed.
No refunds for non-collection, late collection, or early return.

Refueling Policy

All vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel and should be refilled prior to return to York.
If not refueled, the current prices per liter of petrol or diesel will be charged, along with a refueling fee.
Alternatively, you may purchase a full tank of fuel at the beginning of the rental at a competitive price and return the tank empty. No refunds will be given for unused fuel.
If desired, the vehicle can be refueled by York after returning it to the station, subject to current conditions.

Renter Qualifications

The renter and all approved drivers must possess a full, valid driving license for at least one year.
United Arab Emirates residents: UAE driver's license required.
GCC country drivers: Original passport and driving license required. GCC identification cards, photocopies, or digital licenses are not accepted.
Resident/employment visa holders: UAE driving license required (at least one year old). If less than one year old, a supporting driving license proving more than one year of driving experience is required.
Drivers from non-listed countries: International driving license supported by the original home country license is required.
Drivers with licenses issued outside their origin country: Valid current residence visa or working permit is required.
Accepted National Driving Licenses:
North America: Canada (national only), USA (except Texas), Texas (USA) (national only).
East Asia & Pacific: Australia, Azerbaijan, China, Hong Kong, Israel, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Uzbekistan (all national only).

Passport copy supported by the original passport.
Driving license copy supported by the original driving license (at least one year old).

Customers on pre-arranged entry visas must present proof of entry visa.

Proof of residence (tenancy contract or title deed copy).
Valid visa copy supported by the original visa stamp in the passport.
